Categories

Categories allow you to group products and services - customers use them for filtering in the customer application. The more items in your catalog, the more important it is to structure them properly.

Function Availability

The "Categories" section is not available on all plans. Check your plan's conditions in the Subscription and Plans section or on the Favy website.

Category List

The /categories page displays all created categories. From here, you can create, edit, or delete any of them.

You can also create a category from the product page

If you're adding a product and the category you need isn't there, click "+" next to the "Category" field directly in the product form. The creation form is identical.

Create a Category

Click the "New Category" button. A form will open:

Category NameThe name customers will see in the app, e.g., "Drinks"
Icon (Heroicon)-Select an icon from the set by clicking it. The icon code will automatically be placed in the field below
Description-A brief description of the category - for internal reference

Click "Create" to save.

Edit and Delete a Category

Click on the desired category in the list to open the same form with its data.

Deleting a Category

Before deleting a category, ensure no products are linked to it, or reassign them to another category. Products without a category remain in the system but may be harder to find in the interface.
